"Painted on location near the Children's Pool in La Jolla, I was looking north to Shell Beach.  We always called this a 'secret' place to find seashells when i was growing ups here in the 70's.  The water can be very expressive as it tosses shells and sand onto the beach- back and forth...this action of the waves seems to actually move across this horizontal art. "
